Mel is a freelance camera operator and editor with a thirst for adventure. Specializing in sport and action, Mel also shoots live snow and weather reports, news stories and ads. On completing a Bachelor of Digital Media at the UNSW, Mel went on to work with legendary surf film-maker Jack McCoy. In 2005 and 2006 she was the camera operator for Perisher Blue Ski Resort, shooting live and pre-recorded snow reports for several networks. Mel has also shot segments for The Footy Show, Sydney Weekender and Saturday Disney. In summer Mel can be found as the water camera for televised sporting events such as the Nutri-Grain Iron Man Series, The Coolangatta Gold, Panthers Ironman, Ocean Thunder, Gravity Games H2O and more recently a show airing on channel 7 called Surf Patrol. Mel can’t get enough of the action and Feral Productions has plenty of that.
